【摘要】:ThelogarithmicviscositynumberprovidesinformationontheeffectofcompoundingorprocessingofPVC.ExposureofPVCcompositionstoshearortohightemperaturescanresultinachangeinthelogarithmicviscositynumberoftheresin.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthelogarithmicviscositynumberofpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)homopolymersaftercompoundingorprocessing.1.2Itisthebasicassumptionofthistechniquethattheformulationofthecompoundedresinisknownandthatanyadditivespresentcanbeseparatedfromtheresinbyextractionwithdiethylether.Thisisnecessarytopermitadjustmentoftheamountofsampleusedinthetesttogivearesinconcentrationincyclohexanoneof0.2177;0.002g/100mL.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregivenin7.3and8.4.1.
