【摘要】:Thistestmethodisastandardprocedurefordeterminingtheresistancetowaterpenetrationunderuniformorcyclicstaticairpressuredifferencesofinstalledexteriorwindows,skylights,curtainwalls,anddoors.Theair-pressuredifferencesactingacrossabuildingenvelopevarygreatly.Thesefactorsshouldbeconsideredfullypriortospecifyingthetestpressuredifferencetobeused.Note18212;Inapplyingtheresultsoftestsbythistestmethod,notethattheperformanceofawalloritscomponents,orboth,maybeafunctionofproperinstallationandadjustment.Inservice,theperformancewillalsodependontherigidityofsupportingconstructionandontheresistanceofcomponentstodeteriorationbyvariouscauses,vibration,thermalexpansionandcontraction,andsoforth.Itisdifficulttosimulatetheidenticalcomplexwettingconditionsthatcanbeencounteredinservice,withlargewind-blownwaterdrops,increasingwaterdropimpactpressureswithincreasingwindvelocity,andlateralorupwardmovingairandwater.Somedesignsaremoresensitivethanotherstothisupwardmovingwater.Note28212;Thistestmethoddoesnotidentifyunobservableliquidwaterwhichmaypenetrateintothetestspecimen.Laboratorytestsaredesignedtogiveanindicationoftheperformanceofanassembly.Fieldperformancemayvaryfromlaboratoryperformancesincethesupportingstructureforthetestspecimen,methodsofmounting,andsealinginthelaboratorycanonlysimulatetheactualconditionsthatwillexistinthebuilding.Shipping,handling,installation,actsofsubsequenttrades,aging,andotherenvironmentalconditionsallmayhaveanadverseeffectupontheperformanceoftheinstalledproduct.Thisfieldtestprocedureprovidesameansfordeterminingtheperformanceofaproductonceinstalledinthebuilding.Thefieldtestmaybemadeatthetimethewindow,skylight,curtain-wall,ordoorassembliesareinitiallyinstalledandbeforetheinteriorofthebuildingisfinished.Atthistime,itisgenerallyeasiertochecktheinteriorsurfacesoftheassembliesforwaterpenetrationandtoidentifythepointsofpenetration.Themajoradvantageoftestingwhenassembliesareinitiallyinstalledisthaterrorsinfabricationorinstallationcanbereadilydiscoveredandcorrectionsmadebeforetheentirewallwithitscomponentassembliesiscompletedatwhichtimetheexpenseofcorrectiveworkmaybeincreasedmanytimes.Thefieldtestmayalsobemadeafterthebuildingiscompletedandinservicetodeterminewhetherornotreportedleakageproblemsareduetothefailureoftheinstalledassembliestoresistwaterpenetrationatthespecifiedstaticairpressuredifference.Generallyitispossibletoconducttestsonwindow,skylight,anddoorassemblieswithouttoomuchdifficulty,andtoidentifysourcesofleakage.Acurtain-wallassembly,ontheotherhand,maynotbeaccessiblefromtheinsidewithouttheremovalofinteriorfinishedwallsandceilings.Evenwithremovalofinteriorwallsandceilings,itmaynotbepossibletoobservecurtain-wallsurfacesbehindspandrelbeams.Thefeasibilityofconductingameaningfulstaticairpressuredifferencewaterpenetrationtestonanin-servicebuildingmustbecarefullyevaluatedbeforebeingspecified.Weatherconditionscanaffectthestaticairpressuredifferencemeasurements.Ifwindgustingcausespressurefluctuationtoexceedx00B1;10%fromthespecifiedtestpressure,thetestshouldnotbeconducted.Generallyitismoreconvenienttouseaninteriormountedpressurechamberfromwhichairisexhaustedtoobtainalowerpressureontheinteriorsurfaceofthespecimen.Acalibratedrackofnozzlesisthenusedtospray.........

Scope:This specification covers the engineering requirements for selective (brush) electrodeposition of nickel and the properties of the deposit. This process has been used typically to provide moderate corrosion and oxidation resistance and dimensional build-up and restoration of parts which may operate in service up to 700 degrees F (371 degrees C), where low tensile stress in the deposit is required to avoid marked reduction of fatigue strength, but usage is not limited to such applications.
