【摘要】:Thereactionthresholdsofamaterialareameasureofthetendencyofthematerialoritsdecompositionproductstoundergogasphasereactionsofvarioustypes.Hot-flameandcool-flamethresholdsrelatedirectlytoreactionswhichareinvolvedinautoignitionphenomena.Pre-flame,catalyticandthermalpolymerizationthresholdsalsorelatetoautoignitioninthattheyrepresentreactionswhichcanbeundersomeconditionstheprecursorsofignitionreactions.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofthepre-flame,cool-flame,andhot-flamereactionthresholdtemperaturesandtheincipientreactiontemperatureofliquidsandsolids.Datamaybeobtainedatpressuresfromlowvacuumto0.8MPa(115psia)fortemperatureswithintherangefromroomtemperatureto925K(1200x00B0;F).1.2Thistestmethodmaybeappliedtoanysubstancethatisaliquidorasolidatroomtemperatureandatmosphericpressureandthat,atroomtemperature,iscompatiblewithglassandstainlesssteel.Airistheintendedoxidizingmedium;however,othermediamaybesubstitutedprovidedappropriateprecautionsaretakenfortheirsafeuse.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Incaseswherematerials,products,orequipmentareavailableininch-poundunitsonly,SIunitsareomitted.1.4Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see6.8,Sections7and9.
